Stop Toying Around and Blog

In today’s economy, just about everyone is looking for some way to make money. Some people are trying to find a job after weeks or months of unemployment. Others have been forced to take a lower paying job and are trying to supplement their reduced income. Seniors have to compensate for losses due to a rising cost of living and a fixed income. And still others are entering the job market for the first time or trying to reenter the job market after an absence. In the meantime, the number of Job Opportunities available continues to decline. So what do people do?

Some work and hope tirelessly in attempts to find decent paying jobs. They comb on-line sites, newspapers and journals, unemployment agencies and even bulletin boards looking for leads; they send out resume after resume; they enlist the aid of every friend and relative they have. Unfortunately, some people, in desperation, turn to crime. They rob stores and homes and snatch purses.  Others pray for a miracle. Still others play the lottery, which is about the same as praying for a miracle.

And then, there’s the stock market. Strange as it may seem, the stock market still offers people the opportunity to make money. However, people should examine anyone who claims, or sells, a sure fire way to amass riches in the market overnight with extreme skepticism and caution. People need to understand that the market is irrational, and, basically, uncontrollable. The keys to being successful are education, patience and equanimity. Fortunately, resources exist today so that just about anyone can make the market work for himself/herself.
