Stop Toying Around and Blog

There are over 1 million people per year in the United States filing bankruptcy. This number is expected to increase significantly this year because of the housing crisis and huge numbers of job loss. With all this turmoil people have tough Bankruptcy Questions to ask before they make the decision whether this is the direction they want to go. One of the main questions asked is, what will bankruptcy do to help me? Answering this question can be lengthy depending on each individual’s financial situation, but in a nutshell, filing will stop all the phone calls from your creditors and will stop foreclosures temporarily. The biggest thing is when it’s all done you’ll be completely debt free.

One of the most common things asked when the word bankruptcy comes up is, will my credit be destroyed after bankruptcy? This is one of the hardest Bankruptcy questions to answer because realistically no one likes to deal with the bad news. Actually though, if you’re at the point of filing bankruptcy, your house might be already in foreclosure or you might be a couple months behind on your rent and you might be in the process of being evicted. When you’re at this point in your life and you can’t pay any of your credit cards and you are so far behind, your credit is already in terrible shape. A lot of creditors offer loans to people after bankruptcy because they have no other debts.  If you keep up your current obligations for a period of time you can prove that the bankruptcy is behind you.
