Stop Toying Around and Blog

There is a great video show on edan.com that explains LTE in terms in which anyone can understand. Dan explains that LTE actually means Long Term Evolution. They are referring to terms such a 4G and 3G for wireless devices. Verizon, At&t and Sprint are all offering there devices with 4th Generation speed. AKA 4G. There are several devices that have been around for a while that already offer #rd generation speed and some of the activity can buffer a little bit. If you are trying to watch a video or browse the Internet, it may take a while.

It would be great to have the same type of speed and service that is available to your home networks, available to our wireless devices. For example, Dan explains in the video show, that most servers come into your home at 10, 20,or maybe even 30 megabytes. That factor is what allows your home networks perform so much faster.  Well, now that may be possible. With many new devices being offered at 4G speed, you are going to be able to steam videos in real time. Think about how nice it will be to watch your daughters ballet recital and stream it to grandma in real time with your wireless device.

Some of the other interesting points that were brought up in the video show, are ideas for improving business on the road. Teleconferences may be able to take place in real time from your wireless device. This allows the business man to be out in the field and be able to perform office type tasks from his/ her wireless device.

The video show also talked about a new television that will be coming out later this week. This Panasonic television will be a 3d television in which they will offer in a bundle at Best Buy. The bundle will include the television, a Blue Ray player and some 3d glasses. One of the concerns about this new technology is, will there be enough content available for the consumer to actually view on the television. There aren’t really that many shows and movies that are in 3d. This will probably spark remakes and reproductions of many existing movies. It may increase the amount of movies that will now be made in 3d. Although 3d capability will be nice to have the question is will it be enough to spend the extra money?
